Istanbul ESS Act 3

Well we arrived in Istanbul early having heard what a great city it was, with half the city sitting in Europe and the half in Asia! It really is an awesome place with so many different pieces of History, Mosques which began as churches and vice versa were built some 400 years BC... definately a cool place to come visit, our two days "holiday" definately is not long enough to do it justice! A couple of long days in the sun saw us rig and settup the good ship GAC Pindar, launched on tuesday afternoon, we had a shakedown sail and then first proper training sail yesterday, with a slight twist.... Adam had come down with a (hopefully!) 24hr bug so had to miss sailing, this meant that with the possibility he would not recover for racing and the rule requirments, my Girl friend Nicky became the obvious choice as super sub! Im pleased to report no arguments were had, an improvenment on the RS Nationals where we almost stopped sailing together on day 1! Looking forward to some great racing in Turkey this week, follow live updates on twitter, @GACPindar or the event website www.extremesailingseries.com.
